Arden has been involved in the speech and debate community for over a decade. They graduated from NYU with honors. As a student, they competed in a wide variety of speech events as well as mock trial. They hold accolades from major invitationals such as Yale, the Pennsylvania High School Speech League State Final, and George Mason University. After their competitive career, Arden has coached students in a variety of disciplines in both speech and debate categories. Their students have advanced to outrounds at tournaments such as Big Lex, MSTOC, Harvard, the New York State Tournament, Sunvite, and UPenn. While Arden is proud of the trophies their students have collected, they are even more proud of the way their students have used their communication, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills to address important issues in their community. Arden hopes that through debate, each student can develop the confidence to use their voice to create positive change.
