Hanna Shakarov

Hanna Shakarov is a Bergen Debate Club alumna, and started competing in seventh grade. She is a 2x Qualifier to the Tournament of Champions in Public Forum Debate, was ranked the 1st place team and speaker in Bergen County for two consecutive years in Oregon Policy Debate, and placed top 8 internationally at New York University’s International Public Policy Forum competition. Hanna was awarded the Presidential Scholarship of Distinguished Achievement in debate by Wake Forest University, and now competes on their policy team. After several years of debating on all levels, Hanna affirms that confidence, both inwardly and outwardly, is critical to competitive success.
